Thoughts on The Evil Within (PC)

“The Evil Within” is a 3rd person shooter survival horror game developed by Tango Gameworks, and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game is also directed by Shinji Mikami, the director of Resident Evil 1, and 4.

Initially I was incredibly excited for the Evil Within because I was a massive fan of games like Dead Space, and Resident Evil 4, and this game seemed to channel the spirit of these games while having an identity of its own. Now that the game is out, how does it hold up? Rather disappointing I must say.

This article will seem more like a review than my usual thoughts ones since I have a lot I want to cover, so I figure I’d just go all the way, and cover as much as I can.

This is based on one playthrough of the whole game on Survivor difficulty. As always with most of the things I write...SPOILER FREE!

Why I think Clannad: After Story was so Great (AKA Thoughts on Clannad: After Story)

Alright, now after the first season of Clannad, let's go in a bit about the second season Clannad: After Story!

This is less like my typical thoughts articles, and more like a list of points of why I thought the show worked as great as it did...hence my decision to word the title differently in this post. However it is still generally talking about what I thought of the show.

Long story short, and most important tibbit: You WILL cry. Once the feels train starts going it is not going to stop.

Read the long version after the break! No spoilers!

Thoughts on Clannad (First Season)

Ok so I finished the first season of Clannad, and I have to say as a whole it is pretty good. I’ll share some thoughts on the show, but don’t expect me to cover everything since these are mostly spontaneous thoughts that popped into my head!

There WILL be very light spoilers in the following since I don’t think there’s a way to properly convoy what is going on in this series without talking about them. Read the whole thing after the break!

Thoughts on Fire Emblem Awakening

Well, here's another thoughts article on the 3DS game which is known as Fire Emblem Awakening.

Fire Emblem Awakening for those who do not know is a turn-based strategy game, and the latest in the Fire Emblem series. there are no generic units, and all the units you get throughout the story are all individual characters.

I have no shame in saying that it is also one of my favorite games of all time. Curious why? Read on after the break.

100% SPOILER-FREE for the worried!

[Amnesia Mod Review] The Dark Treasure: Credel Castle's Untold Story

The Dark Treasure: Credel Castle's Untold Story
Release Date: August 10th, 2013
Creator: Kreaturet
Plot Premise from ModDB:

Baron Raymond Renald was a man of power and was greatly admired by his folks. He was considered one of the mightiest barons of all time which had caused inhabitants from several nearby villages to migrate within his field of power. A few weeks ago, Raymond suddenly vanished without a trace. Rumors got passed around, even horror stories. Some people claim he was murdered by evil monsters, but that is just plain nonsense to scare children, right? Others claimed he developed a severe depression after his mother's passing during the plague, and chose to take his own life. If that was the case, the servants of the castle would had already found him and reported it to the governor. Seeing that nobody has seen or heard anything of the servants though is awfully odd. What has actually happened to the Baron?
